How do I create a Simply‑FX account?

Create your account on the signup page, then verify your email to unlock the dashboard.

  • Username: 5–12 characters, letters + numbers.
  • Password: minimum 7 characters, must include letters, numbers, and a symbol.
  • After signup, open the verification email and click the link.
I didn’t receive the verification email. What now?

Try these steps in order:

  • Check Spam/Junk and “Promotions”.
  • Search your mailbox for “Simply‑FX” or “verify”.
  • Wait a few minutes — some providers delay first-time emails.
  • If you used the wrong address, create a new account with the correct email.

Tip: if you still can’t verify, open a support ticket and include the email address you signed up with (never include passwords).

What is the “Selection Code” on signup?

The Selection Code field is optional. If you received a code from a partner, community, or invite, enter it during signup. If you don’t have one, you can leave it empty.

If a code doesn’t work, double‑check for spaces and letter case, or contact support.

Is Simply‑FX free to use? Do you charge subscriptions?

Simply‑FX is presented as free to use (no subscriptions) and is designed so you keep control of your exchange account and capital.

  • Your funds remain on your connected exchange.
  • Simply‑FX uses API keys for automation (use no‑withdrawal permissions).
  • If pricing changes in the future, it should be reflected in the product and support pages.

What is 2FA and how do I set it up?

2FA (two‑factor authentication) adds a second proof (a rotating code) on top of your password. If someone steals your password, 2FA can still block access.

  • Prefer an authenticator app over SMS when possible.
  • Save backup / recovery codes somewhere offline.
  • If you suspect account access issues, change your password and contact support.
I forgot my password (or can’t log in). How do I recover my account?

Use the password reset flow. For privacy, the system won’t reveal whether an email is registered.

  • Go to Forgot password and enter your email.
  • Reset links expire automatically for safety and can’t be reused once used.
  • If your account uses 2FA, you may be prompted for a code when logging in.
How do you keep my account and API keys safe?

The core idea is least privilege: only enable the permissions required for trading. Avoid “withdrawal” permissions.

  • Enable 2FA on your Simply‑FX account.
  • Use API keys with no withdrawals and minimal scope.
  • If your exchange supports it, add IP restrictions to the API key.
  • Rotate keys periodically and revoke old keys you no longer use.

Never paste API secrets or passwords into tickets. If you need to share logs, redact secrets first.

How do I create a Bitfinex account?

Simply‑FX’s setup flow references Bitfinex as the exchange connection. Create your Bitfinex account and complete any required verification steps on the exchange.

  • Create an exchange account and secure it (2FA recommended).
  • Complete the exchange’s identity / verification steps if required.
  • Once ready, generate API keys for trading automation.
How do I generate API keys, and what permissions should I enable?

Generate API keys inside your exchange API settings, then connect them to Simply‑FX.

  • Use the minimum permissions required: typically Read + Trade.
  • Do not enable withdrawals on API keys used for bots.
  • If available, restrict the key by IP and enable only needed endpoints.
  • Store keys securely and rotate them periodically.
My API connection fails or disconnects. What should I check?
  • Permissions: confirm the key has trade access and no withdrawal access.
  • IP restriction: if enabled on the exchange, confirm the allowed IP is correct.
  • Key rotation: confirm the key hasn’t been revoked or regenerated.
  • Time & region: check device clock / timezone if requests rely on timestamps.
  • Try another browser: aggressive blockers can break dashboards.

If it still fails, open a ticket and include the exchange name, pair, approximate time, and any error message (redact secrets).

How do I set up a trading bot safely?

The fastest way to avoid “avoidable losses” is to start conservative and validate the setup before scaling.

  • Connect the exchange and verify permissions.
  • Select pair(s) and timeframes that match your strategy.
  • Set hard risk limits (allocation, per-trade size, max loss).
  • Monitor performance and logs before increasing exposure.

What risk controls can I set?

Simply‑FX’s trading configuration UI is built around clear limits you can understand quickly. Common controls include:

  • Capital allocation: how much of your total capital is allocated to the bot.
  • Amount per trade: how much of allocated capital is used per trade.
  • Profit target and maximum loss: thresholds that define outcomes.
  • Profit diversion: optionally route a portion of profit to a funding account.
  • Pair selection: choose which market(s) the bot trades.

My bot isn’t trading. What are the most common causes?
  • Exchange connection: confirm your API key is connected and not revoked.
  • Permissions: trade permission enabled; withdrawals disabled.
  • Minimum order size: some pairs require a minimum notional size.
  • Risk limits too tight: allocation/per-trade may be too small to place orders.
  • Pair selection: confirm the selected pair is supported and active.

If you open a ticket, include the pair, timeframe, and approximate time window where you expected trades.

How are fees, slippage, and P&L calculated?

Performance is typically based on fills (executed trades). For clarity, track both:

  • Gross performance (before costs)
  • Net performance (after fees and execution costs)

Execution costs that can impact results include fees, slippage, and latency. A good analytics view separates these so you can see what’s real edge vs what’s “spent” on execution.

Where do I see performance, risk, and market metrics?
  • Overview: quick “instrument cluster” (equity, PnL, win rate, drawdown, fees).
  • Portfolio: at-a-glance equity story, drivers, and concentration risk.
  • Analytics: deeper breakdowns (distribution, execution costs, pair leaderboard).
  • Market: depth/pulse style context for a selected pair.

Backtest vs live: what’s the difference?

Backtests (or simulated results) show how a strategy behaved on historical data. Live performance reflects real execution conditions like fees, slippage, and latency.

  • Backtests can help you learn behavior and tune risk settings.
  • Live results are the only true measure of execution + real-world costs.
  • A transparent platform keeps them clearly separated.

What is the Engine page and what does it show?

The Engine view is designed to surface system health and metrics for the services that power the platform (API, database, web, email).

  • Use it to sanity-check if an issue might be platform-wide.
  • Deep links are supported (e.g. API/DB/Web/Mail metrics views).
Is this financial advice?

No. Simply‑FX is an informational platform and provides tools/automation. Trading involves risk and can result in partial or total loss. You are responsible for your decisions.

Why do I need to provide a legal document?

Some onboarding flows require KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. This typically involves uploading a government-issued ID.

  • It helps prevent fraud and supports compliance requirements.
  • Only submit documents through the official in-app flow.
  • Check the privacy policy for how personal data is handled.
What cookies do you use, and can I change preferences?

Simply‑FX uses cookies and similar technologies for core functionality and (optionally) for analytics/marketing. Your selection is stored locally and you can update it any time.

  • Necessary cookies support authentication, security, and saving your consent choice.
  • Performance cookies are optional analytics/measurement (only if enabled).
  • Marketing cookies are optional targeting/ads (only if enabled; may not be used at all times).

How do I contact support, and what info should I include?

The recommended path is opening a support ticket so your request gets routed correctly.

  • Reference target (not a guarantee): 12–24h (business days). Timezone: Europe/Zurich.
  • Include: what happened, what you expected, pair/exchange, time, errors, and device/browser.
  • Do not paste secrets: API secrets, passwords, private keys.

The supplied Support Studio labels the 12–24 hour response target and opening hours as examples. Check the Support page for confirmed service information; this preview does not establish an SLA.

I suspect unauthorized access. What should I do right now?
  1. Change your password immediately.
  2. Revoke API keys on your exchange (and in Simply‑FX if applicable).
  3. Enable/restore 2FA and secure recovery codes.
  4. Open a Security support ticket and describe what you observed.
Is Simply‑FX available in my country? Any restrictions?

Availability can depend on local laws and regulations. The disclaimer notes the website is not intended for residents/citizens of the United States or any jurisdiction where use would be contrary to local laws.

  • If you’re unsure, seek independent legal/professional advice in your jurisdiction.
  • Terms of use also state you should be able to understand and communicate in German and English.
